Volunteers

We can’t thank our volunteers enough for their dedication and support in making
our community a kinder place to grow older. One friendly visit and phone call at a
time, LBFE volunteers bring some much-needed love, encouragement, and
companionship into the lives of our elder friends. We are also grateful for the
volunteers who offer their skills, talents, and resources to support our mission of
relieving loneliness and isolation among elderly New Yorkers.

Our first featured volunteer is Texan native Ashley Austin Morris. Ashley has a
passion for the elders she serves and once shared: “There’s a couple of things I
hope to do in this life, and one of them is inspiring people to visit the elderly. Connect
with them. Love on them. Don’t forget them. They need us, and we need them”.
